“Carve out a little piece of space and time,

Come and tell me what’s been on your mind”

Space & Time

Katya Redpath is a writer, composer, performer and recording artist.

Her first solo album is coming out this year.

Katya fuses folk, roots-rock, and a lifetime of world influences into vibrant, thoughtful songs. Her debut album feels uplifting, captivating and maybe a little subversive.

With a rich contralto voice, Katya is equally at home in layered sonic landscapes as on acoustic tracks alone with her guitar.

What People Are Saying

Katya’s melodic, versatile songwriting brings to mind the eclectic music of the 60’s and 70’s. And there’s often a message. Kind of like turning on the radio in 1973.

— Mariah Krey

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

Bio

I was born in Washington, DC, lived in Argentina for my first three years, then grew up in Great Falls, Virginia.

Long ago I internalized the feeling that music is a sort of time capsule that can transport us to other worlds and dimensions. I learned this by going deeply inside pieces of music from different eras and cultures, conjuring their origin-space as I performed them.

Although I’ve played hundreds of songs over the years, I started writing and recording original music for the first time relatively late in life, in Austin Texas.
